About Blair Black Films/Recorded Time

In 2024 I teamed up with brand strategist Steven Doherty to help to create a brand identity and website for a new film production company called Blair Black Films.

Founded by Fiona Blair and Aaron Black the company specialised in producing documentary films about social and political issues.

Fiona and Aaron were a strong partnership with complimentary skills and experience and we took the idea of pairing descriptive words that reflected their values to create a logo sting for the home page that would also capture the brand typography and colour styling.

They targeted the launch of their new website and brand to coincide with the premiere of their latest film ‘On Drugs’ which was screened on BB2 and the BBC iPlayer.

Blair Black Films is now known as Recorded Time and they have adapted the logo design with the new business name and retained the same brand identity.
