I'm Tom and I'm a designer, illustrator and animator based in an around Edinburgh.

Trained at Central Saint Martins in London in the early 2000's I now have over 20 years experience working in a variety of creative roles including graphic design, illustration, brand identity, animation, editing, storyboarding and web design.

After graduating with a degree in Product Design I gained valuable experience working at the iconic Conran Shop and then at the prestigious D&AD Awards in London. These two experiences were the perfect stepping stones into my creative career as I was able to gain a unique overview of some of the most exciting work across the worlds of art, design and advertising.

In 2005 I co-founded the visualising studio Treehouse 24 and over 18 years we built a reputation for creating high quality storyboards, animatics and concept illustrations for many of the worlds leading ad agencies and worked on campaigns for clients including BBC, Stella Artois, Kinder, Amazon, Unilever and many more.

Most recently I founded my own independent art and design school in Edinburgh called Submarine where I was hugely privileged to get the opportunity to teach the subjects I love in a fun and free creative environment and meet hundreds of wonderful people in the process.

Having run two businesses I am now looking to provide my creative skills and services on a flexible freelance basis to anyone looking to collaborate on their business or personal projects. I particularly enjoy working with start ups and small businesses to help them develop or refresh their visual identities.

In my spare time I love to create my own art and animation, I love exploring new music and films and can be found spending a lot of time on the beaches around East Lothian with my family and dogs.
